Recent Government Report Reveals Toxic Heavy Metals in Popular Baby Foods

According to a recent government report, some common baby food products contain dangerous levels of toxic heavy metals.  The investigation found that top baby foods are tainted with inorganic arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury.  The committee hopes companies will commit to making safer baby foods and to develop better standards in the industry.  Some in congress plan to introduce legislation to step up FDA oversight.  The FDA has acknowledged that there is more work to be done and is reviewing its findings.
